A guide to hiring Fablr
We get it. Hiring an agency is a big decision.
If you’re looking to bring a new partner on board you’re going to have lots of questions.
Are they the right fit for me?
Can I afford their services?
What are their specialities?
What does the sales process look like?
And that’s just four!
Luckily, this page has all the answers you need.
We’ve put this page together to give you a solid overview of the sales process.
Let’s get started.
What to expect during the sale.
The first thing you’ll want to understand is if we’re a good fit for each other.
We will take you through a three step process to assess these qualifiers:
- We understand your business and the challenges you’re trying to solve
- You understand our expertise and have a matching need for it
- You have total clarity of the approach we’ll take and how this will address your challenges
As part of the process, we’ll provide you with a proposal outlining our approach.
We’ll typically work with you to tweak this until it’s just right.
So what are the problems that we are best at solving?
Business areas we operate in.
In reality, some business situations and challenges will be more suited for us than others.
The challenges we are best equipped to solve are new product or service launches, new business launches and growing market share.
New product or service launches
You’ve got a new product or service to launch, or you could be making an update to ones that already exist.
You don’t want to mess it up, and you’ve got a limited budget and a tight deadline to get it done.
New business launches
You’ve been working on your business for a while and now its ready to reveal to the world.
This could be a completely new business or an evolution of a current business.
You want to stand out in a crowded market and sit at the top table with the best in the field.
You want new sales rolling in so you don’t run out of cash and fail.
Growing market share
You want to expand, whether in a new direction entirely or to get a larger slice of the pie you already have.
You want to take your message to a new audience, but you don’t know what that message should be or how to deliver it.
Our delivery specialities
We don’t want to list a million services here, but sometimes its nice to get a feel for what we can do.
- Branding: brand positioning, creative direction, brand activation, brand identity and messaging
- Websites: site design and build, information and ecommerce sites, integrations with 3rd party tools, tracking and analytics
- Marketing: performance marketing, content marketing, brand awareness, sales and promotional material
The thing which runs through everything we do is strategy.
It’s why we don’t list it separately.
The vast majority of our clients do not have a clear strategy in place.
Part of our work will be to work with you to refine this into an actionable plan.
What we don’t do
If you have the perfect plan in place and are just looking for an execution partner, then we’re not the agency for you.
We work best when we have a hand in the strategic and creative direction of the work.
What investment level should I expect?
Throughout the sales process we’ll look to understand what level of investment is appropriate to solve your problems. This will vary from business to business and across different industries and challenges.
Our clients typically spend between £5,000 – £50,000 with us per year.
Here are a few price ranges to give you an example of what to expect for our fees:
Website (without integrations or complex functionality): £12,000 – £25,000
Website (with integrations or complex functionality): £20,000 – £50,000
Rebrand: £3,000 – £8,000
New brand: £6,000 – £16,000
Marketing campaign: £1,500 – £10,000 per month
Retainer: £750 per day
When will I see your proposed solutions?
As part of the sales process we will create a proposal which will outline our recommendations for meeting your challenges. Detailed plans are made once the project has begun.
How long does the sales process take?
It varies from business to business, but typically lasts between 2-6 weeks.
Will you pitch for my project competitively?
We don’t take part in competitive pitching. We’re a small agency and the resources required to put together a highly detailed pitch
Can you work with my current agency?
Some of our clients have agencies already working with them.
We are happy to work alongside other agencies or take over from one you are in the process of ending a relationship with.
We have never encountered a problem with working in collaboration with other agencies for the same client.
We play nice and we’re more than happy to be transparent and share our approach and plans with any of your partners, whether agencies or other third parties.
Who will be on my team?
We’re a small agency (there’s 8 of us) so most of the team will be contributing to your project at some point.
Your primary contact throughout the sales process will be one of the senior team.
As part of the proposal we will list who will be working on your project, including a dedicated project manager.
When do I get a delivery timeline?
We will provide an outline schedule of work in the proposal.
When can my project kick off?
Projects typically begin within 2 weeks of signing an agreement.
What happens if things go wrong?
No relationship is guaranteed to work well. We use the sales process to establish if we are a good fit for each other, which includes on a personality and culture level.
If in the rare event that anything goes sideways during a project, we’ll always endeavour to find and fix any issues with our work as soon as we can.
All our projects include a 30 day post-completion guarantee – if anything goes wrong in those 30 days that’s our fault, we’ll fix it for you free of charge.
In the event you decide to stop working with us, all we ask for is 30 days notice.
